One great example of how Gatterdam’s is working with our customers to increase the life of their motors and equipment, is through the installation of AEGIS Bearing Protection Rings.  Variable frequency drives (VFD) on AC and DC motors induce harmful electrical voltages on the motor shaft.  Once these motors exceed the resistance of the bearing lubricant, they discharge through the motor’s bearings causing pitting and fluting damage.  Premature bearing failure can result from this.

Gatterdam Industrial Services recently participated in the 55th Annual Water and Wastewater Operator’s Conference held at the Galt House Hotel & Suites in Louisville, KY on April 15-19′ 12.  Our own GM of G.I.S.’s “Pump Division” hosted  continuing education hours training. Our co-presentors during this event were Seepex, WEG Motors and Prozone products. It was a fun and educational experience for everyone.
